Throw pillows can make the space and Walmart has so many stylish options right now for $20 or less! I’m sharing a few of my favorites with you, but there are so many more online to choose from, depending on your decorating style.

There were several years that I didn’t have any decorative throw pillows in our home, except for our bed, because we had a corgi that shed so much! When we got our second corgi, though, I decided to throw caution to the wind and just go ahead and buy all the throw pillows for our sofas and chairs.

The color and texture that pillows add to a room are worth the effort of lint rolling, now and then, to get rid of the corgi glitter all over them. Really, though, it’s not as bad as I thought and I love having throw pillows to change out for different seasons or to give the rooms in our home a different look without spending a lot of money. Decorating tricks like this are what make a house feel cozy and welcoming.

If you’re worried about having too many throw pillows or being able to store them, one of the ways you can make your collection work for you, is to purchase pillows within your home’s color palette. That doesn’t mean that the pillows all match perfectly, but that they complement one another and the colors in your home. When you have a whole home color palette, you will be able to move the throw pillows around throughout your house, as well as other decor. You get so much more bang for your buck that way and create more looks with the decor and accessories that you have.

The color, texture, and pattern that throw pillows can add to your home’s style is unmatched for the price. They are also an easy way to dip your toe into design, if you are want your house to look better or if you are ready to try a different look! Some people love lots of pillows on their furniture and others only want a couple. My general rule is two to four decorative pillows on a couch (two on either end, if you have four pillows) and one throw pillow on a side or accent chair.

Whether you like farmhouse style, enjoy more traditional or transitional style, or prefer eclectic design, I’m sure you will find a throw pillow or two from Walmart that will work! Decorating your home doesn’t have to cost a lot of money, you just need to know where to look and what to buy.

If you decide to buy any of these throw pillows, be sure to share them in your stories on Instagram and tag me so I can see! You can find me on Instagram at @hilaryprall.
