Working on health can seem like a full-time job. I'm always doing research and trying new supplements to try and feel my best while pursuing longevity. I get asked often what I use on my health journey, and recently was asked about my protein shake. While the protein alone is delicious and so good for you, I do include a few extra nutrient-dense products to round out my daily wellness shake.
All of these nutritious powders are delicious mixed with cold milk (I use a HANDHELD WHISK to mix), but I normally just use water to save a few calories for later in the day. Everyone's bodies and goals are different, so be sure to customize to your own needs. If you're using this as a meal, I would definitely use milk and even add in some plain Greek yogurt to bulk it up.
If you've done any research on aging well, I'm sure you've read about the power and benefits of protein. Protein helps with muscle growth and repair, weight management, bone health, muscle recovery, enhanced athletic performance, skin, hair, and nail health, and blood sugar control. It also provides beneficial nutrients like vitamins, antioxidants, and minerals. The best way to get protein is through our food, but if you're trying to hit a higher daily goal, that can be hard. Adding in a protein shake makes it bit easier...and tasty!
I've been using and enjoying LEVELS PROTEIN POWDER for several months, specifically the chocolate peanut butter variety. They have lots of other flavors, but I just can't quit this one! It's delicious in my daily nutrition drink, but I also love to mix it with plain, full-fat Greek yogurt to make a high protein "pudding". The other thing I appreciate about the Levels brand is that it's made from grass fed cows and only clean and natural ingredients.

Collagen protein is a great product to have on hand. I choose an unflavored variety so it can be added to drinks and recipes seamlessly. Collagen is beneficial for skin health, better digestion, the easing of joint pain, bone health, skin elasticity, boosting muscle mass, and healthier nails. ANCIENT NUTRITION COLLAGEN is made from pasture-raised and grass fed sources, is non-GMO, and free from dairy, gluten, or soy. Collagen is also a good source for more protein!

Colostrum is a somewhat recent add for me, but I just knew I had to after hearing all of its benefits! The colostrum I currently take isn't available at the moment, but the ANCESTRAL SUPPLEMENTS COLOSTRUM ticks all the boxes I look for, including being made from pasture-raised and grass fed sources, hormone, pesticide, and GMO free, an no fillers! Colostru is fabulous for supporting immunity and gut health...two things we all need.

I think we all have had a preconceived notion about creatine being for muscle-bound guys at the gym. While it is great for helping with building muscle, more importantly, it helps support our brains and cognitive function!! I want to do anything I can to help myself age and stay as lucid as I can, so SUNWARRIOR ACTIVE CREATINE MONOHYDRATE has been a welcome addition to my daily habits.

We've been trying to get away from using plastics in our daily lives, which means the shaker bottles we've been using for years needed to go. I've had a handheld milk frother for a couple of years and started using it for my daily nutrition drinks and it worked so well! Our old frother was pretty basic, though, so we decided to upgrade to this one and I'm so happy that we did. It's rechargeable and has different power settings, depending on what you're mixing. It also comes with a different whisk to mix eggs. The stand makes it handy to keep on the counter, but it doesn't take up much space at all.

I know that nutrition can be so overwhelming. I hope that this helps you narrow your search a little bit. I always appreciate when someone else does the research for me. If you decided to add any of these supplements to your daily routine, share to your stories and tag me on INSTAGRAM so I can see!
