If you've followed me for any amount of time, you know that I enjoy cooking and make almost all of our food. We've been working on cooking from scratch over the last couple of years and I'm constantly adding new items to make. As I've been continuing to learn, I've been honing the collection of pieces that I use on a regular basis. I'm not a huge fan of lots of gadgets and tools for the kitchen, but there are several things that have stood the test of time and have made the process of daily cooking so much easier and more enjoyable!

There are lots more items I could add to this list, but I tried to choose items that would be helpful to the most people. The best part of my top picks for the kitchen is that they are all budget-friendly...especially when you consider how many times you will use them. They basically pay for themselves!

My TOP-10 PICKS FOR THE KITCHEN:

1. OUR PLACE WONDER OVEN

I looked at the OUR PLACE WONDER OVEN for quite a while before I finally bought it. My only regret is that I waited so long!! When I say that I use this appliance daily, I'm not exaggerating. In fact, I use it multiple times. We had wanted to stop using our microwave and this was the best solution for easy reheating. The Wonder Oven does so much more than that, though. It works as a toaster, broiler, air fryer, and the best reheater around. We haven't used our microwave since I bought this and only use our oven for bigger items or batches.

2. GROUND MEAT CHOPPER

Any time I use this GROUND MEAT CHOPPER, I try to share it in my Instagram stories. When I first got it, I wasn't sure how often I would use it, but it gets a workout any time I fix ground meat of any kind. It saves my hands from trying to break up the meat using a spoon and makes the pieces so much smaller and more even. I also use it to break up frozen veggies or potatoes, so it's multi-purpose as well.

This is the second electric hot water kettle that I've had and I've been so impressed with it! I did a lot of research before I bought and this one had thousands of great reviews. Then, you can pull it out whenever you're craving a delicious iced coffee...for a fraction of what you'd pay by buying it at a coffee shop.

I have not jumped on the aesthetic kitchen train, but one item I am so happy I bought is this EGG HOLDER FOR THE REFRIGERATOR. There is just something so clumsy about pulling out the egg carton that always makes me nervous that I'm going to end up dropping them all. This holder makes it so easy to store your eggs after you buy them and then pull out as many as you need at a time. The eggs sit at a slight incline, so they roll forward as you pull them out. It's a very gentle roll...I've never had one crack or break. The holder comes in different sizes, depending on your needs.

8. RADA STAINLESS STEEL VEGETABLE PEELER

This RADA STAINLESS STEEL VEGETABLE PEELER is a recent addition to our kitchen, and while it's so simple, I wish I would have bought one earlier!!! When I say it peels vegetables like a dream...I am serious. It might sound silly, but every hassle you can save yourself while cooking makes the process so much more enjoyable...and streamlined.

Part of cooking at home (and preserving food) is prepping all the veggies. While I don't mind cutting what I need for a recipe, when I'm making things that require a lot of vegetables or if I'm making bulk anything, it can be tedious and take up a lot of time. I first bought one of these COOKIE SCOOPS in a single size, but after having it for a while, had to have others! It has made making cookies so easy and they all turn out in a uniform way. I also use them for drop rolls or biscuits and it makes the process much more enjoyable than scooping and spooning the batter.

Obviously, there are so many things that come in handy in the kitchen for cooking, but the items on this list have been so helpful to me in making delicious and healthy food for us. There's nothing overly fancy, but each item has been tried and tested...making this top-10 list one I feel good about!
