How to Water an Orchid

No items found.

Orchids are probably the #1 scariest house plant for most people. They’re striking + gorgeous, but also seem very fragile and intimidating. I’m here to tell you to take the chance, though! Lighting is important—they like bright, diffused light, behind curtains or blinds.

The key to the orchid’s overall success, though, is how you water them, and friends, this couldn’t be easier. Legit. Once a week, grab an ice cube from your freezer and put it in the container with the orchid. The melting ice cube distributes the right amount of water over a longer time, so the orchid doesn’t get too much all at once. If you have more than one orchid in a container, you will want to add one ice cube per plant.

See! Easy-Peasy!
