How to Make Your Cupboards More User-Friendly
Friends, I’m pretty short, like 5’ short, so basically anything beyond the first shelf in all of our upper kitchen cabinets is hard for me to reach. This makes things tough when I’m trying to cook, get things down, or put anything away.
You know I love a good basket, bin, you name it…and that’s exactly what I’ve used in our kitchen to make it easier for me to use! Anywhere I have trouble reaching, I’ve used a storage basket or bin to corral different items (depending on how/when they’re used) and then I can grab the handle of the basket, pull it down to use its contents, and then easily put it back on the shelf.
Baskets have made our kitchen cupboards so much more manageable for me and, bonus, I don’t always have to ask Jason for help (I’m very independent…but he’s also 6’5”, so it’s convenient to just have him do it). Not only do the baskets make reaching things easier, but it keeps our cupboards so much neater and more organized!
