I found these mercury glass-inspired hurricane vases in the Dollar Spot ($5) at Target and they are perfect for styling built-ins or floating shelves.
One side has a scary spider decal for Halloween…fine for seasonal, but I wanted to use them year-round.
Easy fix! Turn them around + put a battery-operated candle inside and you have a gorgeous, sparkly piece of décor to style your shelves.
No one else will know the secrets on the back-side of your décor. You just need things to serve a general purpose and fill space, so seek out the odd, broken, or bent. There’s beauty in most pieces if you have a vision and get creative!
