Anthro-Inspired Curtains on a Budget
If you guys have followed me for long, you know that I like a bargain…but also, as Jason likes to point out…I have expensive taste.
A few years ago, I had my eyes on some gorgeous, ruffle-y, and delicious Anthropologie curtains. Now, friends, I didn’t just see these curtains and kind of like them. I legit couldn’t get them out of my head! Only problem…they weren’t in my budget. We had curtains that were perfectly fine, and these new beauties were beyond too expensive for a “just because I’m obsessed purchase.”
So, I got creative! I asked around and found an amazing seamstress and decided to use painters’ drop-cloth for the material. It’s cheap, durable, and gave the curtains a unique look. Hello…I live my life to the beat of a very different drummer.
I gave my sewing gal extraordinaire a few inspiration images, the measurements, and then she was off and running! It was a very experimental project for her, so it took her a couple of tries to get the design just the way she wanted, but the final product is just what I had envisioned, and I still love them all these years later!
