A Little Trick to Make Painting Easier
Friends, I will be the first person to tell you that I will do just about anything to not paint. I don’t like it, I’m not good at it, and I’d rather hire someone to do it for us! Secret time: I do hire it done a lot of the time. There are a few times, though, that I have to get a paint brush out and do things myself and I never used to know what to do with my paint brush/roller during the down-time while coats of paint dry.
I didn’t want to wash them out because I still had painting to do, but I also didn’t want to leave them out because the paint could dry on them. Then I learned that you can wrap them in a plastic bag (whatever size fits the paint brush or roller best) and stick them in the freezer. When you’re ready to use the brush again, pull it out for about an hour (or more depending on how long it’s been in there and how big it is) and it will be ready to go! I’ve left them in the freezer longer than I probably should have and have been able to pull them out and use them just like new!
This trick doesn’t make painting any more fun, but it does make the process a bit easier!
