5 Items to Thrift for Your Thanksgiving Table
It's easy to think that you need to buy all new things to decorate with each holiday, but that doesn't have to mean breaking your budget. Feel like you've waited too long to find the good stuff? I promise the five items I'm sharing here are plentiful at the thrift store any day of the week! Hope you'll accept the challenge to shop secondhand for your Thanksgiving table this year.

Every time I share a thrift challenge, I like to reiterate some good rules of thumb when shopping second hand. These are just helpful ways to not accumulate too much and to be more intentional with the things that you're buying.
- Look at what you currently have. What's missing? What needs to be replaced?
- While you're checking out your stash of goodies, look for things you can donate--and actually take them!
- When you're thrifting, think outside of the box. In the case of the Thanksgiving decor, you can easily shop all over the linen section for table coverings (more on that in a bit) and you can lean heavily on the kitchen section to fill a variety of your needs!
BED SHEETS-TURNED-TABLE CLOTHS
If you're worried about bringing thrifted "soft" items into your home, I don't think there's anything that a good washing can't handle. I swear by the MOLLY'S SUDS products to clean without harsh chemicals. I love the whitening powder and use it in every load that I do.

SERVING UTENSILS
BOARDS AND TRIVETS
I LOVE LOVE LOVE cutting boards. I may have a problem...but I don't want to discuss that now. I grabbed this amazing one recently and I cannot get over how beautiful it is. A good cleaning and oiling...it will be even better than ever! Cutting boards are perfect for serving charcuterie or bread. The brass pineapple trivet will be a lovely addition to our table and will come in handy for all the tasty hot dishes. Bonus, it could double as wall decor after the fact.
SEASONAL DECOR
I will never tell you to not go to the thrift store, but I'll bet if you do a good dig through what you already have, you will be able to find some pieces that will work perfectly for your Thanksgiving Table! With this list, though, you can fill out your stashes, so you'll be ready for next year. Maybe you can refresh a few things too and donate what you're no longer using.
